Abstract

This publication, from the present 2024, is part of the series Teoría y Técnica of the Mexican publishing house Pasodegato and is made up of twelve short texts.
The first text, which gives its name to the book, occupies sixty-six pages, making it the longest in this compilation. And it is striking for the procedure employed for its construction, the self-interview, which is a novel method of narration within the author's extensive bibliography. Dubatti thus interrogates Dubatti with great scientific and academic rigour about the theatrical event, while his alter ego responds with concreteness.

Author Biography

Manuela Elisa Vera Guerrero, National Pedagogic University

She has a degree in Performing Arts from the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional and a PhD Cum Laude with mention in History and Theory of Theater from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. As a researcher she has studied Ibero-American and Colombian theater, being part of the project Análisis de la Dramaturgia Actual en Español, directed by José Luis García Barrientos. She is also interested in dramaturgy and the infinite possibilities of theatrical creation, the relationship between theory, practice and history, as well as the dialogue between established and emerging perspectives. She teaches the core theatricality and school life III, poetics of representation: crisis and ruptures, Colombian theatrical poetics and, finally, dramaturgies. She is currently forming an intercultural team with student-researchers from Chile, Colombia and Mexico, where she will investigate the convergences and divergences of the theater of the XXI century.
