This dossier analyzes how Argentine theater has portrayed historical female figures—such as Eva Perón, Alfonsina Storni, Lola Mora, and Victoria Ocampo—from the Bicentennial to the pandemic. Drawing on gender studies and theories of memory and affect (Scott, Butler, Traverso, Spinoza), it examines their heroic construction, links to power, and presence in collective memory. It includes analyses of recent plays and cultural studies that highlight the political, social, and artistic roles of these women in Argentine history.
