Abstract

Salvadora Medina Onrubia emerges in Argentine history as a controversial figure in her time. Her personality can be understood within the framework of the feminisms of the early 20th century. A friend of Alfonsina Storni, América Scarfó, and Simón Radovitsky, she was active in the anarchist movement and ventured into journalism following the Protesta. Already in collaboration with Natalio Botana, she wrote Las Decentradas in 1928, a play that would be staged a year later. The objective of this article is to review her life and work, focusing on her relationship with Botana, how it can be seen in the text Las Decentradas, and how it is staged within the framework of the bicentennial. In our research, we will consider the dramatic text Las descentradas, current critical records, biographies about Salvadora's life, for example, those written by Josefina Delgado and Alberto Piñeyro, and a theoretical framework based on gender studies such as those by Teresa De Laurettis, Sylvia Saitta, Tania Diz, Vanina Escales, and Agostina Invernizzi.
